Seeking Full Time Bookkeeper


GD Bookkeeping is a bookkeeping firm of 8 bookkeepers that provide premium online bookkeeping services for small to medium businesses in various industries. Our team uses the GD Bookkeeping System combined with QuickBooks Online (some Sage 50 clients but we are moving away from Sage) and Hubdoc to complete our client’s books accurately and on schedule.

We continue to grow and are searching for the right Bookkeeper to join us. You will be required to have strong knowledge of full cycle bookkeeping and to be quick, accurate and efficient. You must be comfortable with learning new skills and new software/apps. You will be responsible for assisting our current bookkeepers on their regular bookkeeping files, helping with remittances, payroll, T4 preparation and keeping current on any assigned client files.

Skills required:

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on full cycle bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding and knowledge of full cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online NOT Quickbooks Desktop (some Sage 50 but moving away from this software)
- Knowledge of filing remittances such as GST, PST, PD7A, WCB, T4’s, T5018’s
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Confident in using/learning new technology and software/apps - This is a must!!
- Some knowledge of using Hubdoc, Wagepoint, TSheets is an asset but not a requirement (we are willing to train)
- Flexible and comfortable with learning new skills. Not afraid of change.
- Problem solving


Some of the Jobs and duties you will be required to complete are:

- Assist other bookkeepers on client files
- Assist and Prepare annual T4’s
- Onboard new online clients and set up files
- Full cycle bookkeeping
- Reconcile banks, credit cards, accounts payables, and accounts receivables
- Process Invoicing for customers and process payments for vendors
- Project Allocations for any clients who require job costing
- Payroll
- File Government remittances
- Financial Reports
- Data entry
- Scanning and uploading documents
- Answering phones
- Greeting clients
- Administration duties and assist in other duties as required
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Learn and follow our in-office procedures and workflows
