RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKERS

Access Resources provides support to individuals with varying diverse abilities and challenging behaviors. We specialize in disciplines including supporting adults who are living with diverse abilities and or complex needs. We have successfully grown and operated within the Okanagan since 1993.

We are excited to be immediately inviting applications for Full - Time, Part -Time and Casual Support workers at a brand new residential resource.
Shifts available include weekdays, evenings and weekends. Application is open to all qualified individuals without discrimination.

Qualified applicants should posses the following:
-Human Service Worker (HSW) or Residential Support Worker (RSW) diploma or equivalent, or related post secondary education
-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate or equivalent
-Current and valid Emergency First Aid (Community Care) with CPR
-Class 5 Driver License and reliable vehicle
-Clear driving record
-WHMIS
-Food safe
-Clear Criminal Record check
-TB screening test results

Responsibilities include:
-deliver residential support services as required and directed
-deliver all support services in an effective, respectful and meaningful manner for individual service recipients
-maintain accurate records and data for reporting as required and /or directed
-maintain accurate records for petty cash funds as required and /or directed
-maintain accurate files and participation notes as required and /or directed
-maintain ongoing communication with colleagues, supervisors and other professionals as required and /or directed
-participation in agency reporting, planning, health & safety activities as required and / or directed

Qualified applicants must be available for all shifts. Education and / or experience specific to complex behavioral challenges considered an asset. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education. Immediate availability considered an asset.
