Job description:
Okanagan Diesel, a family owned and operated diesel repair shop is looking for a qualified Red Seal Diesel Technician to fill a recent vacancy.

Let us know that you have what it takes to provide excellence in vehicle problem diagnosis, repair and maintenance!

The qualified individual will possess the necessary skills to successfully perform the following:

-Accurately diagnose vehicle operating concerns.

-Must be able to competently read and interpret DTC scan tool information.

-Accurately communicate recommended repairs to Service Advisor.

-Maintain an above average competency in working with diesel engine systems, including; fuel injection systems, turbochargers, injection pump operations, engine tear-down and re-assembly, power train and body electrical diagnosis.

-Perform a wide variety of other on-vehicle repairs.

-Demonstrate successful creative problem solving skills.

-Preferred Red Seal Automotive Technician designation

-Must have at least 3+ years current full time experience working in a professional auto repair facility

-Must possess physical capabilities to comfortably lift and move objects up to 60 lb.

-Must possess current BC class 5 driver's license

-Must have own tools.

-Must be willing to work in compliance with changing regulations as set by Interior Health BC during COVID-19 pandemic.
