Location: South East Kelowna and Kelowna town area

This position is open to all applicants, except where bona fide occupational requirements prevent it. The burden of proof of bona fide exceptions rests with the Employer.

The positions require Union membership.
Closing date: April 11th, 2024
Classification: 10, JJEP wage grid
Currently $25,25 per hour

Positions:
Permanent: Sunday-Wednesday
11pm to 7 am
Permanent 16 hours per week:
Mondays and Tuesdays 3-11pm

Permanent 10 hours per week:
Tuesdays and Fridays 10 am -3
pm

Flexible Casual positions available

Hiring requirements:

-2 professional references
-BC ID or DL or equivalent
-First Aid with CPR / level 1
-Criminal Record check with RCMP
-Full license and DL abstract from ICBC
-TB test
-immunization status

Full training will be provided

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Candidates with the Community Support Worker or Home Support/Care Attendance Diploma
• one-year recent related experience.

• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and develop positive relationships with individuals and their families.
• Commitment to the principles of person-centered services, self-determination, community inclusion, and individual rights
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to provide high quality, personal care
• Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the residential care worker
• Demonstrated understanding of and adherence to company policies and procedures, Licensing requirements, CLBC policies and practices and accreditation standards.
