Licensed Practical Nurse
Day One Society provides substance use services and advocacy for individuals, families and communities. We have a 20-bed inpatient detox unit, outpatient youth counselling, youth day treatment and supportive recovery programs.

Job Summary: both Fulltime and Casual Positions available
Reporting to the Detox Supervisor the LPN provides nursing care and support to clients with potential psychological, emotional, behavioural, and medical problems who are withdrawing from substances. This position requires flexibility and responsiveness in a stressful environment, often dealing with clients in crisis situations. Managing emergency situations is an ongoing expectation of this position. The position also provides education to clients and consultation to staff as required. The hours of work for this position are full-time (1,950) and are extended shifts (12 hours) that are part of a master rotation (2Days, 2 Nights followed by at least 4 days off). The position requires a moderate level of physical fitness to effectively carry out the duties of this position.
