Head Housekeeper (Seasonal)
The Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department at our resort. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
*Manage and supervise housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
*Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
*Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping items, and order supplies as needed
*Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards
*Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and order, and identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies
*Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards to ensure consistency and quality
*Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints, and escalate issues as needed.
*Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping or custodial work, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve departmental goals
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
