Our Frontline Workers are core to the ministry of Kelowna’s Gospel Mission as they work hands-on with our guests. The hours of this position are from 11:15 pm – 8:00 am, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Frontline Supervisors for Nights, the primary purpose of this position is to provide a safe and secure environment for the homeless in Kelowna and those at risk of homelessness. The Female Frontline Worker - Nights helps to keep order (particularly in the female dorm) and identify those who need assistance including drug, alcohol, and emotional problems. There is a significant amount of janitorial work.

Skill Set
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

- High degree of comfort in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent judgement and conflict resolution skills
- Compassion and outgoing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer services aptitude.
- Proficiency in Windows environment, including database and word processing applications.
- Janitorial experience
