Position Summary:
Under the limited supervision of the Associate Dean, Okanagan School of Business, coordinates and administers a variety of student programs and events for prospective and registered Okanagan College Business students, assists and supports student recruitment and retention, and coordinates student participation in external and internal business related competitions and events. Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
Graduation from a four year university program or equivalent in Business Administration or Commerce is required. Over two years and up to and including four years related experience is required.

Preference will be given to candidates that have completed education or training in Marketing or Management. Food Safe and Serving It Right certification would be an asset.

A valid driver’s license is required and access to a motor vehicle. Extensive inter-campus and off-campus overnight travel will be required.

Skills and Abilities:
- Competence with Microsoft Office programs (word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing and database management) is required;
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills;
- Ability to prioritize, be adaptable and flexible while managing a high work volume and competing priorities to meet strict deadlines;
- Demonstrated event planning, marketing, promotional skills, and presentations skills;
- Ability to plan and think strategically with proven leadership, motivational and mentorship skills;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment;
- Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research;
- Excellent analytical skills including problem solving and needs analysis;
- The ability to work in varied settings is required along with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in dealing with students, other Okanagan College departments and the public.

Must be physically capable of completing bending, lifting, carrying and reaching related to setting up for events and presentations.

This position is 35 hours per week; exact schedule TBA. Please note that this position requires extensive inter-campus and off-campus overnight travel. This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate:
$24.82 - $28.39
