Dance Instructors Needed

HERE WE GROW AGAIN!!

As a well-established, competitive and recreational Dance Studio, we are eagerly looking forward to the 2021-22 dance year with the expected easing of Covid restrictions allowing us to expand!

In anticipation, we are looking to hire several, passionate dance instructors to join our dedicated team. Full and part-time positions are available running from August 2021 through June 2022. We offer a convenient, West Kelowna location and flexible work schedules. We will continue to implement all pandemic parameters as they evolve under the direction of BC Interior Health.

Responsibilities:
Teaching and training a dynamic group of students in different genres.

Candidates must be invested and committed to the growth of our students and enjoy bringing out their best

Becoming a supportive part of our collaborative environment by building professional relationships with families, other teachers, assistants, staff and volunteers

Attributes:
Ability to provide a structured, fun and creative classroom

A positive, coachable attitude. (Work/coordinate with the artistic director as needed)

A flexible schedule that would allow teaching classes after school and evenings with occasional weekend work as needed.

Dependability, self motivation, good people, organizational and communication skills

A clean background check

Skills:
Previous experience an asset

Follow dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans

Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement

Prepare students for competitions and exams as applicable

Choreograph routines/select music/costumes for recitals and performances
