Okanagan Staffing Services Inc. is currently seeking qualified full-cycle Bookkeepers for our Okanagan clients. Candidates should have experience in Sage (50, 100 or 300) or QuickBooks (Pro, Premium or Enterprise).

Candidates with 3 – 5 year’s experience, as well as a Degree or Diploma in Bookkeeping, should apply.

The successful candidates will provide:

• Strong computer, organization and time management skills
• A high level of analytical and problem-solving skills
• Trust, professionalism and dependability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and the ability to complete tasks independently
• Proficiency with Computer Accounting Packages, including Sage, QuickBooks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and Outlook

Typical responsibilities may include:

• Maintaining and reconciling all company bank, credit card, and PayPal accounts
• Maintaining Accounts Payable – wire transfers, physical cheques, PayPal, or other
• Maintaining Accounts Receivables – end of month review with follow up customer contact
• Payroll Processing– may include ADP, Ceridian or manual
• Quarterly GST report creation and online filing
• Year-end tax preparation and coordination with accounting firm
• Maintaining accurate files for vendors and accounts
• Manage budgets/cash flow
• Coordinate with Operations Dept to ensure accurate capture of revenue and expenses
• Additional duties as required.
