POSITION: Appliances Sales Associate

Pro Builders Supply Ltd. operate Home Hardware Building Centres in the Kelowna, Penticton, Osoyoos and Canmore markets, supporting the full range of consumer and contractor home improvement needs.

Pro Builders Supply Ltd. Is looking for an experience, upbeat, team oriented and self-motivated Appliances Sales Associate in our Kelowna Home Hardware Building Centre.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing ROTI for the available markets.
• Determines customer's needs by asking open-ended questions and communicating product knowledge by describing features and benefits and presenting options, closing and following up to ensure the customer's needs are met.
• Addresses any objections/concerns the customer expresses about a given appliance.
• Demonstrates instruction/use or operation of the products and by visually showing features and benefits or difference between makes & models.
• Sells and provides information about merchandise: warranties, manufacturing specifications, care, component maintenance, cleaning instructions etc.
• Discusses and explains delivery options
• Schedules meetings and visits job sites offsite to assess the appliance requirements.
• Processes special orders for non-stock or out of stock items and record customer requests for product and telephone/follow-up with customer when product arrives at the store.

Marketing & Display
• Builds & takes down special displays and signage for sales, promotions and other special events and rearranges stock following promotional events.
• Keeps up to date on all pricing information and changes prices on merchandise, bins, displays etc.
• Maintains price information/labels (flyers, in-store promotions etc.) for references when customer price inquires arise.
• Keeps display samples and stock/accessories in storage area neat, clean, and orderly.

Inventory and Ordering
• Orders merchandise according to store buying procedures.
• Participates in regular cycle counting, and assist in taking annual inventory counts.

• Minimum of 3 years of appliance sales experience
• Web-bases knowledge (researching specifications, warranties, appliance registrations, features and benefits of the product and available accessories)
• Excellent problem skills
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have Experience:
• POS system experience
• Design 20/20 Software
• Retail background
• Sales training and or education
• Basic business administration or entrepreneurial aptitude
