AP Administrator - Mat Leave

Arthon is looking for a full-time, temporary Accounts Payable Administrator to cover a maternity leave at our head office in Kelowna. The Accounts Payable Administrator is required to have at least three years’ previous experience in an accounts payable role in addition to post-secondary accounting and/or accounts payable education. The candidate chosen for this position is expected to show discretion, stay organized, multi task, and adapt in what is often a fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Controller.

-Intermediate or higher accounting/accounts payable experience
-Accounting-related post-secondary education or equivalent expertise
-Mid-level or higher Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
-Continuous process improvement attitude
-Organized, adaptable and detail oriented
-Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Several years’ experience with full cycle accounting
-Capable of handling a large work load
-Recognize the importance of confidentiality
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team

-Construction background
-Experience with:
--Explorer Contract Manager (aka Eclipse) accounting software
--Project and job costing
--Bank reporting, cash flow, budget, -variance analysis and payroll
--Document management and storage
