Position Summary:

Under the limited supervision of the Associate Dean, Okanagan School of Business (OSB), provides academic advising to prospective and registered students in Business programs, carries out and supports student recruitment and retention initiatives, coordinates and administers a variety of events for prospective and registered OSB students and for the School of Business. Plans recruitment and marketing campaigns and develops marketing materials including social media. Provides outreach for OSB in relation to competitions, events, and community projects. Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from a Bachelorís degree in Business Administration or Commerce, or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with a specialty or major in Marketing or Management. A minimum of two years of related work experience is required. Must hold a valid BC driverís license and have access to a personal vehicle. Food Safe and Serving It Right certification would be an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, Banner, IronPoint or Drupal, Adobe Creative Suite, and CRM systems;
- Competence in Social Media programs such as Facebook AdManager, Instagram Business, and Hootsuite;
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills;
- Ability to prioritize, be adaptable and flexible while managing a high work volume and competing priorities to meet strict deadlines;
- Ability to interact with students under stress Demonstrated event planning, marketing, promotional, and presentation skills;
- Ability to plan and think strategically with proven leadership, motivational and mentorship skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment;
- Excellent analytical skills including problem solving and needs analysis;
- Ability to work in varied settings is required along with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
- Must be physically capable of completing bending, lifting, carrying and reaching related to setting up for events and presentations.

35 hours per week. Extensive inter-campus and off-campus travel and overnight travel will be required inter-provincially and Canada-wide, including some evenings and weekend work.

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate:
$52,895 - $60,483
