Administrator - Bookkeeping

Fredex Construction Inc. is currently looking for a skilled Bookkeeper / Project Cost Administrator to join our team. Candidates must possess the following attributes:
Bookkeeper / Project Cost Administrator

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in full cycle accounting
• Experience with QuickBooks & strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong, self-driven initiative, focused on company financial success
• Organized and detail oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in multi-tasking, scheduling and meeting deadlines
• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills
• Positive, professional attitude
• Accounts receivable, collection & deposits
• Accounts payable
• Invoicing
• Payroll processing and benefit plan administration
• Monthly, quarterly and annual filing of Payroll remit - GST & WCB
• Account reconciliations
• Financial reporting & analysis

Civil Project Administration
• Civil construction experience
• Punctual, good communicator and one who leads by good example.
• Fully respects, supports and conducts all daily work activities with a strong focus on collaboration and accuracy
• Detail oriented and accountable for work completed
• Good working knowledge of accounting and project support activities that a civil construction company deals with day to day
• Familiarity of equipment ad materials terms and uses, to support project tracking etc.
• Must have a can-do attitude and be an excellent collaborator/team player, communicator (internal and external)
• Ability to plan ahead and track daily costs and changes of project activity
• Ability to multi-task including being active on more than one project at a time; and
• Must possess a minimum of a Class 5 BC driver’s license in good standing (will be requested to provide a copy of your driver’s abstract) and dependable transportation.
• Supports the project teams with safety documentation, including tracking
