Directors wanted at OneSky

A South Okanagan organization that provides supports and services to children and families, youth, adults and seniors is looking for board members.
OneSky Community Resources, which has been serving the South Okanagan for 66 years, would prefer candidates who have board and governance experience, but it is not required. Anyone who has worked in law, fundraising, information technology, social programming, human resources and business are of interest to OneSky.
“We welcome those from all parts of our community and particularly encourage people from our smaller communities, First Nations, and rural areas to apply,” OneSky said in its press release.
Last year, OneSky implemented a board development mentee position for people who are interested in becoming a board member but are not quite ready to take on the full role. It’s a great way for someone who wants to learn more about OneSky as well as board governance.
Directors are asked to commit between six and eight hours a month to their OneSky roles.
Anyone interested in becoming a director should submit an application form to [email protected] by March 31.
