Now that Renee Merrifield has given up on her political career and returned to her role as CEO of Troika Management, the Kelowna development company has made some changes at the top.

Brad Klassen, who had been serving as co-CEO with Merrifield during her provincial political stint, is now Troika’s chief governance officer, which is a newly created role. Jeff Kennedy, meanwhile, has been promoted to chief financial officer.

“These leadership appointments reflect our commitment to strengthening Troika’s foundation as we move forward on our ambitious growth path,” Merrifield said in a press release. “With Brad’s oversight in governance and Jeff’s leadership in finance, we are well-equipped to navigate the future with agility and confidence.”

Klassen will focus on regulatory compliance, advisory board co-ordination, and partnerships with banks, investors and joint venture collaborators.

Kennedy spent the last 14 months as Troika’s investments and developments vice-president before being promoted to CFO.
