OC students score project funds
Two Okanagan College business students have received funding for their EnactusOC project.
Reece LeGuilloux and Kayla Warner are the brains behind Revive, which recently received $4,300 in funding from 100 Women Who Care, a South Okanagan philanthropy group.
The Revive project focuses on creating engaging and interactive curriculums about renewable energy for middle school students.
100 Women Who Care has donated more than $160,000 to more than 50 South Okanagan charities since 2014.
“We’re using this funding to expand our curriculum program to the South Okanagan as a pilot at no cost,” LeGuilloux said. “With the support of 100 Women Who Care, we will be able to provide these resources to teachers across the South Okanagan.
“Our projects are not just about making a difference; they are driven by a strong commitment to community sustainability and outreach.”
EnactusOC is a non-profit organization that enables student leaders to form connections, build confidence and positively impact local communities through social, economic and environmental projects.
