New CEO for Interior Realtors
Association of Interior Realtors has named Mohamed Ladak as its new chief executive officer.
Ladak takes over from Sonja Harkness, who is AIR’s chief operating officer and had been serving as interim CEO since February. Ladak comes to the Southern Interior from Smithers, where he spent the last three and a half years as chief operating officer of Bulkley Valley Credit Union.
“The association is thrilled to announce that Mo is stepping into the organization with a fresh, forward-thinking approach, focused on strengthening member relationships,” AIR president Kaytee Sharon said in a press release.
“With Mo’s energy and dedication to our goals, we’re ready to push forward in exciting new ways, making an even greater impact for our members and solidifying our position as leaders in the real estate industry.”
AIR said Ladak will bring to the role an exceptional member experience, and is known for building strong relationships and driving meaningful change.
“I am very excited about joining the Association of Interior Realtors and its amazing team,” Ladak said. “After spending almost 30 years in the financial services industry with member-owned organizations in a variety of different roles, I’m honoured to join the team and excited about the opportunity to contribute towards our vision and our mission that supports our members by fostering professional growth, collaboration and innovation.”
AIR is a member-based, not-for-profit professional organization that serves approximately 2,600 Realtors who live and work in communities across the B.C. Interior, including the Okanagan, Kamloops and Kootenay regions, as well as the South Peace River region.
