Accelerate names new board

Accelerate Okanagan has added two fresh faces to its smaller board of directors.
The Okanagan tech organization held its annual general meeting last week, and Lawson Lundell’s Max Walker and MNP’s Gary Parmar were added to the 11-member board. Last year there were 15 professionals on the board.
Chris Pinkerton, who is the chief growth officer at Flybist, was elevated into the role of chairman, replacing social entrepreneur Nicole Rustad. Hyper Hippo’s chief business officer Jennifer Kilback will serve as the vice-chairwoman for the next 12 months, Parmar was elected as the group’s secretary, and Rustad will sit on the executive as past chairwoman.
Others returning to the board include Reece Tomlinson, Devin Rubadeau, Laine Nevison, Mark Betteridge, Derek Edstrom and Krista Mallory.
Those departing the board are Michael Macaulay, Harry Singh, Shane Dyrdal and Sandra Spencer.
