Business Finders Canada last week donated $7,500 to Youth Outdoor Recreation Society.
Business Finders, which is owned by Brent and Cassie Marshall, donates half of its commission to local charities when it brokers a business purchase or sale.
The donation was made possible thanks to local business owner Lee Agur using Business Finders Canada. Agur was the man behind Bad Tattoo Brewing, whose Kelowna and Penticton locations were recently sold.
YORS said the $7,500 donation will help send more than 100 kids to a single-day program or 20 children to a week-long summer camp.
“We can’t be more grateful that Lee and Brent chose the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society for their donation,” YORS founder Lyndie Hill said in a press release. “It is clear that we all share the value of getting our youth back to nature, and this donation will go a very long way to ensuring that cost is not a barrier for families to get their kids active outdoors.”
