Variety – the Children’s Charity is still raising money for its 57th annual Show of Hearts Telethon, and all you have to do is buy a tasty burger to show your support.

White Spot is donating $2 from every burger sold at its locations across B.C. and at Burnaby’s R+D Kitchen until Sunday (March 5) up to a maximum of $100,000.

“Over the 57 years we’ve been fundraising for Variety, White Spot has raised almost $2 million for children with special needs across B.C.,” White Spot president Warren Erhart said. “This fundraiser gives our guests the opportunity to enjoy a great tasting burger while making a difference. In addition to funds raised from the sale of menu items, thousands of White Spot employees have volunteered their time during the telethon over the years.

“Giving back to the community was a core value for our founder, Nat Bailey, and we’re proud to carry the tradition forward.”

There are seven burgers on the menu that can be enjoyed at White Spot, including Legendary Burger, Monty Mushroom Burger, Bacon Cheddar Beef Burger, BC Chicken Burger, Bacon Wrapped Cheddar Burger, Wagyu Cheddar Burger, West Coast Salmon Burger and Avocado Impossible Burger.

The promotion includes Hamburger Pirate Paks, and is for takeout and dine-in orders only.
