The Maverick is a finalist for five George Awards.
Projects in the Thompson Okanagan have received 21 finalist nods for the 2023 Georgie Awards, which honour B.C.’s top homebuilding, renovation and real estate projects.
Kelowna’s Isabey Home led the way with five nominations for its project called The Maverick. Three other local projects garnered three nominations each, including Kerkhoff for Kelowna’s One Water Street and Lake Country’s Keith Dahlen Construction for Genereux Lakeside Development. Kelowna’s Mont des Cieux project got three nominations for two companies: Timberhaven Homes and Hybrid Elevator.
“To win a Georgie Award means your company has been recognized for excellence in homebuilding with a commitment to quality, durability, the latest building techniques and design trends,” Canadian Home Builders’ Association of British Columbia CEO Neil Moody said in a press release. “To be named a finalist for this coveted award is a great achievement. This has been a year of change in residential construction with the pressures of a higher interest rate environment.
“It’s important for us to gather together to celebrate our accomplishments and look forward to the next phase for our industry.”
The winners will be announced during the Georgie Awards gala on Saturday, May 20, in Vancouver.
