Downtown Kelowna Association this year added a hot chocolate fundraiser to its Winter Street Market & Light Up, and it was a smashing success.

The hot chocolate sales raised $4,000 for Central Okanagan Food Bank during the market, which was held on Dec. 3. The food bank offered hot chocolate for a minimum donation of $5, and special mugs were available for $10.

DKA plans to make the hot chocolate food bank fundraiser an annual event at the Winter Street Market.
