Who wouldn’t like a nice influx of cash right before Christmas?

Time is running out to get into the final Habitat for Humanity Okanagan 50/50 draw of 2022.

The deadline for B.C. residents to purchase tickets for the growing pot is next Tuesday (Dec. 20) at 11:59 p.m. Having their winning number picked just before Christmas would make anyone’s holiday brighter.

“We are seeing our supporters from the communities we serve having struggles this year because of inflation and the rising costs that goes with that reality,” Habitat for Humanity Okanagan resource development director Danielle Smith said in a press release. “Even Habitat for Humanity Okanagan has seen a downturn in many of their fundraising efforts throughout 2022.”

One ticket can be had for $10, three tickets are $25, and 10 tickets are $50. They can be purchased here.

The winning ticket will be selected by a random number generator on Wednesday (Dec. 21) at 2 p.m.

Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada, a non-profit housing organization. Habitat for Humanity’s model empowers families to invest in homeownership. It builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter because it believes every family should have safe, decent and affordable housing.
