Christmas is fast approaching, and the Vernon Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to ring the kettle bells.
The annual kettle campaign will again be raising money for the Salvation Army, which helps those in need 12 months of the year.
The sign-up for kettle shifts is available online. People are urged to sign up early to get their preferred shifts.

The Salvation Army provides hundreds of Christmas hampers to underprivileged seniors, individuals and families each year.
To make an an appointment for a Christmas hamper, call 250-549-4111.
Applicants will need to bring ID for all family members, proof of Vernon address and two-month bank statement.
