With general local elections coming up in the fall, the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen is in the process of hiring locals to be election officials.

Applicants must be available to work on Election Day, Oct. 15, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will also be a three-hour evening training session ahead of time.

Polling stations may be located in various communities throughout the regional district, including but not limited to Okanagan Falls, Keremeos, Naramata, West Bench, Hedley, Kaleden and Princeton.
