The return of live music to CedarCreek Estate Winery this summer will have a decidedly East Coast flair.
The Summer Concert Series is back at CedarCreek, giving locals and visitors alike the chance to enjoy some sweet music against the backdrop of a beautiful Okanagan sunset.
“Tim Baker and Matt Andersen are both awesome artists,” CedarCreek winemaker Taylor Whelan says. “They are coastal Canadians from the Maritimes and there is an unmistakable authenticity to them that is really refreshing.”
Baker is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. John’s, N.L., and the former lead singer of the indie rock band Hey Rosetta! Since embarking on his solo journey with the award-winning debut solo album Forever Overhead in 2019, Baker has been busy creating music that harnesses the universal impacts of recent years of social isolation.
Andersen, meanwhile, is a Juno-nominated Canadian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter from Perth-Andover, N.B., who does more than 200 sellout shows across North America and Europe each year. Throughout his career he has shared the stage with April Wine, Bo Diddley, Little Feat, Greg Allman, Serena Ryder and many more musicians of all genres.
Andersen’s winery show will bring together current fans and introduce new followers to his commanding voice and powerful music, including his ninth record, 2022’s House to House.
There are three ways to enjoy the concerts:
• Music & Wine includes two glasses of CedarCreek Estate wine, live music and complimentary shuttle service.
• Music, Mezze & Wine gets you two glasses of CedarCreek Estate wine, live music, Mediterranean-inspired mezze snack box prepared by Home Block chef Neil Taylor and complimentary shuttle service.
• Top Table Seating is a VIP experience that includes table seating for four, a welcome glass of sparkling wine, bottle service, live music, a shared mezze platter and complimentary shuttle service.
“We are thrilled to be welcoming back our community for concerts this summer,” guest experience manager Brynne Dickson says. “The intimate nature of the outdoor concert space and the stunning sunsets here make this a one-of-a-kind experience you will not want to miss.”
You can, of course, enjoy CedarCreek Estate Winery any time. More information about one of the Okanagan’s most picturesque wineries can be found here.
