Rent relents in December

The cost of rent in the Central Okanagan eased off somewhat in December.
The average two-bedroom rent figure checked in at $2,075, according to statistics in Castanet’s classified section. It was the lowest mark in five months.
Meanwhile, the one-bedroom mark was up from November but was still one of the more affordable prices in recent months. The average price was $1,450, which was up from $1,398 in November.
The December price was more affordable than August, September and October.
The stats were compiled off of 53 two-bedroom listings and 33 one-bedroom offerings on Castanet’s classified section.
