Swoop Airlines will be extending its service between Kelowna and Abbotsford to help those who need to get to the Lower Mainland and back but cannot due to the recent floods.

Flights will continue to operate three times a week—Wednesday, Friday and Sunday—on Boeing 737-800 aircraft until Jan. 9.

“Swoop has played a significant role in assisting citizens of British Columbia in need to travel between the Okanagan and the Lower Mainland,” Kelowna International Airport representative Chad Munchinsky said in a press release.

“The investment in Kelowna and Abbotsford is crucial to the recovery of this vital connection. Continuing flights through to January is substantial in keeping the air bridge strong.”
