Accent Inns, which has a pair of hotels in Kelowna, has been recognized for its outstanding corporate culture.
The company has named to Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures list by Waterstone Human Capital, which is a rare recognition for a first-time applicant.
“My first priority has always been to create a workplace where the most important metric is the happiness of my staff,” CEO Mandy Farmer said in a press release. “Having an amazing culture that puts staff first is not just a competitive advantage, it’s critical for business.”
The company’s two properties in Kelowna—Accent Inns and Hotel Zed—are among eight hotels in its portfolio. It also opened its first restaurant, Roar, in Hotel Zed Tofino earlier this year.
“My philosophy is to lead with love, and over the past two years especially, this philosophy has been essential for staff retention, community engagement and overall business.”
Accent Inns is a family-run business that has been in B.C. for 35 years.
