Spring brings higher rent

As the temperatures begin to rise, so do the average rental prices in Kelowna and area.

According to Castanet’s classified statistics, the average rent of 52 one-bedroom dwellings in March came in at $1,349, which was nearly $100 more than February and $176 more than January.

It was the same story when it came to two-bedroom listings, but the increase wasn’t as large. It cost an average of $1,805 for a two-bedroom unit in March, which was up from $1,771 in February and $1,795 in January.

There were 70 two-bedroom listings on Castanet in March.
