Osoyoos Credit Union is celebrating its 75th anniversary by giving away more money than it had originally planned.
The financial institution will distribute $75,000 through its Community Giving Fund. It normally awards $50,000 in the form of grants each year.
“This is a major milestone,” Osoyoos Credit Union chief executive officer Greg Sol said in a press release. “We want our members and our community to know we’ve been here for 75 years and we’re committed to the next 75 and beyond. The increase to our Community Giving Fund is just one of the ways we’re sharing our success with the community.”
Organizations that are interested in applying for a grant can visit the OCU website. There are two application deadlines: June 30 and Sept. 15.
