Big White Ski Resort has donated $5,000 to Big White Mountain Early Learning Centre.

The donation, which was made by Big White owner Peter Schumann, was given to help the non-profit organization purchase supplies and materials, and to support the early educator’s salary.

“We are thrilled to continue our support of the Big White Community School and the Big White Mountain Early Learning Centre, now in its second year,” Big White senior vice-president Michael J. Ballingall said in a press release.

“The ownership group has been a big part of the school since day one and has assisted the community, developers, industry partners and parents in supporting fundraising for the youth of our community through the school.”

The early learning centre is funded primarily by parents’ tuition and currently has 12 children enrolled, ranging in age from 18 months to five years.
