The finalists are set for Accelerate Okanagan’s third annual OKGN Angel Summit.

The six startups will present their case virtually at the finale on March 18, with the winner taking home $145,000 that 29 local angel investors have pooled.

Kelowna’s Beyond Aerospace Ltd. and Enjine, Vancouver’s RocketPlan Technologies Inc. and Streamline Athletes, Nelson’s Live It and Salmon Arm’s Techbrew Robotics will all battle it out for the top prize.

Each finalist will get a one-on-one meeting with Dragons’ Den star Arlene Dickinson, who will give the event’s keynote address as well.

“We know one of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs is access to growth capital,” Accelerate Okanagan programs manager Jenna Stasuk said in a press release. “One of our goals with the virtual format was to ease accessibility for those entrepreneurs looking to raise money.

“We are thrilled to see companies from all around BC and from a variety of sectors make it to this stage in the Summit.”
