The Med restaurant won a pair of awards, including being named business of the year, when Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce held its annual Business Excellence Awards on Oct. 23.

There were a total of 12 awards handed out during the event, which was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was an exciting evening as the winner in each category was announced, and this year was truly a celebration of entrepreneurial spirit, vision and thinking outside of the box as our businesses and non-profit agencies navigate the challenges created by the pandemic,” chamber president Krystin Kempton said in a press release.
