Salmon Arm Saving and Credit Union is ready to Do Some Good.

SASCU will be celebrating International Credit Union Day next Thursday, Oct. 15, and has teamed up with the Do Some Good initiative to document its community deeds and get community groups involved at the same time.

Do Some Good is an online platform that connects non-profits and volunteers. The partnership will streamline SASCU’s community support application process for non-profits, and showcase SASCU’s support for local projects and events.

“Each year we look forward to celebrating Credit Union Day,” SASCU Financial Group CEO Barry Delaney said in a press release. “It is a day where we recognize the impact credit unions have in our community. This year we are joining the Do Some Good group to highlight our role as a credit union in strengthening our communities.

“Our participation in Do Some Good also allows non-profits in our area to join the platform for free.”

SASCU will be celebrating its 75th anniversary next year.
