Interior Health is offering free Naloxone training to Penticton businesses, all in an attempt to save lives.

The #Naloxone Challenge was created to fight the opioid crisis, which has hammered B.C. as well as the Okanagan. The more people who know how to administer Naloxone, the better the chance a life could be saved on the streets of Penticton.

An Interior Health overdose prevention nurse will come to your business and conduct a training session of between 30 and 60 minutes. Those who take part in the session will be fully able to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.

Businesses that take part in the #Naloxone Challenge will be promoted on Interior Health’s social media page and will be added to a plaque that will be featured in the Penticton Health Centre.
