Big Bear Software is getting ready to celebrate the grand opening of its new location and a shared professional workspace next week on Westbank First Nation.

The software company, which has offices in Penticton and Calgary, is inviting the public to attend Wednesday’s grand opening, which will take place at 11:30 a.m. at 305-1979 Old Okanagan Highway.

The space is located on the top floor of the building, offering lake and mountain views. In addition to the space serving as another Big Bear office, there will be large and small boardrooms for rent, two private offices and an open workspace.

“The Westside now has a population of 45,000 people, with over 1,500 remote workers, and continues to grow at a steady pace,” Big Bear Software CEO Keith MacIntyre said in a press release. “Yet until now, there has been no collaborative work environment or shared event and meeting space. This space will serve as a location for people to come together and host events beyond just technology so they can better serve their audiences in ways that matter.

“As the Kelowna core continues to densify, a spacious office space minutes from downtown with free, abundant parking will provide a viable alternative to people working north of the bridge as well.”
