The World Economic Forum has selected a Kelowna company to be in its 2020 class of technology pioneers.
Two Hat is one of three B.C. companies and one of seven in Canada to receive the honour, which brings together 100 early to growth-stage companies from around the world that are pioneering new technologies and innovations.
Two Hat is the creator of two platforms that protect users from abuse, hate speech, child exploitation and more in online communities. Community Sift is an artificial intelligence-powered, all-in-one content moderation platform that filters, classifies, reports and escalates online harm in real-time for enterprise-sized businesses. Sift Ninja, meanwhile, is a simple yet powerful profanity filter designed for smaller services, apps and games.
“We are honoured to be selected for the World Economic Forum’s 2020 class of technology pioneers,” Two Hat CEO and founder Chris Priebe said in a press release. “Through this selection, we look forward to working with world leaders on making the internet a place where everyone is free to share without harassment or abuse.”
Two Hat’s inclusion among this year’s pioneers means it can participate in a two-year program and have the opportunity to collaborate with their emerging tech peers, engage with industry leaders, and work with public and private experts around the world.
