Kelowna’s Bellamy Homes won a pair of trophies last week when the Canadian Home Builders’ Association B.C. chapter held its annual Georgie Awards.

Bellamy was deemed best in B.C. when it came to building a custom home between $500,000 and $899,999, and they also took home top honours in the best outdoor living space (new or renovation) category.

Another Kelowna company, Pars Custom Homes, won a Georgie for building a custom home between $900,000 and $1.3 million.

“For our members to win three Georgie Awards is more great news, as we just had a record number of winners of national awards,” CHBA Central Okanagan executive officer Daniel Winer said in a press release. “The quality of work that our members provide is being recognized across the province and the country. With Vancouverites moving up to the Okanagan in swarms, it is fantastic and well-deserved exposure for our members.”

Thompson Okanagan companies won five national honours at the CHBA National Awards for Housing Excellence earlier this month, and Bellamy Homes was a runner-up in the custom detached home category.

The Georgie Awards were held virtually for the first time. It is normally a black-tie gala and awards show that involves 600 industry professionals, government officials and industry partners.
