B.C.’s Virtual Walk to End ALS raised nearly half a million dollars last weekend.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, participants were asked to walk around their neighbourhood with those in their “bubbles” and to share pictures on their social media accounts.

The virtual walk, which took place on Saturday, has raised $412,000 so far across the province. Proceeds support the best ALS research in the country (40% of proceeds) and enable ALS societies to provide community-based support (60% of proceeds) to people and families living with the disease.

Donations are still being accepted here.
