Melanie Breitkreutz leads more than a thousand participants worldwide in daily fitness with her company HIITit.ca. Breitkreutz’s goal is to be a positive leader who can encourage women to enjoy fitness and be self-motivated to stay strong, all the way through life, not just with flash diets or one-year gym memberships.

Through daily social media posts, Breitkreutz’s passion is to encourage women to not give up, to work out when it doesn’t feel good, and to reach for the stars in their life—whatever that may look like. She believes so much positivity, energy and drive comes from an individual being physically healthy and strong. Breitkreutz loves leading senior groups with this same mentality, as it brings her joy in seeing older adults continuing to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

Over the years Breitkreutz has volunteered with the teen youth program at Trinity Church Kelowna. Breitkreutz and her business partner, Chelsea, also volunteer at Kelowna schools, leading fitness and nutrition classes at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. They have also hosted a food-drive fundraiser at Stuart Park, where they raised more than 300 pounds of food for the local food bank. Most recently Breitkreutz spoke to a group of high school students about the benefits of daily activity and then led a food class creating healthy, delicious after-school snacks.

Breitkreutz has her personal training and weight training certification along with an architectural technologies diploma, digital animation and small business certification.

Breitkreutz has most recently been recognized in Kelowna Now Good Stuff. Her company, HIITit.ca, has been recognized numerous times in news and print.
