The Prestige Collision shops in Kelowna and Vernon are taking your cracked windshields and turning them into food for those who need it the most.

Prestige owners Mark and Todd Regier are donating a percentage of windshield replacements and repairs to charities in Kelowna and in Vernon to help families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you get your windshield replaced in Kelowna, 10% of your payment will end up in the coffers of the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank.

If you get your work done in Vernon, 10% of a windshield replacement cost will go to the city’s Salvation Army. The charity will also receive $50 from every repair the shop does until July 31.

The fundraising effort started in mid-April and will continue until the end of July.

Prestige is also encouraging its clients who don’t need any work done on their vehicles to donate whatever they can to the cause.
