Choices Markets wants to be everyone as healthy as possible during the fight against COVID-19.

The B.C. health food store, which has 10 locations across the province, including one in Kelowna, is moving its Wellness Seminar Program online. Previously it was a program that was run through each of its stores. It is also launching two new guides for customers on immune-supporting foods and healthy pantry staples.

“Choices Markets is working very hard at keeping everyone safe and healthy during these unprecedented times,” CEO Ishkandar Ahmed said in a press release. “Our focus remains on keeping our shelves stocked and our stores safe for our valued customers while following the advice and guidelines of the Health Authorities, the World Health Organization, Centres for Disease Control and other qualified bodies, as well as developing our own best practices to ensure that we can continue to be there for you as we find our way through this pandemic together.”

The company is also working on an online video series about simple and nutritious meal ideas.

The Wellness Seminar Program is free of charge and features information on a variety of topics, including eating healthy on a budget, growing healthy kids, brain-boosting foods and meal planning.

More information can be found on the company’s website.
