Prospera Credit Union is giving its members a break during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The credit union, which has branches throughout the Okanagan, is supporting impacted members by offering payment flexibility and/or short-term deferrals on mortgages, loans and leases. The program is for members who are experiencing financial hardship as a direct result of COVID-19.
“Our focus is on best practices to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and our members,” Prospera president and CEO Gavin Toy said in a press release. “This is not just limited to physical health, but financial health as well.
“As an organization, we share the concerns being expressed throughout our province and across Canada and are here to support our members through this challenging time. I encourage our members to reach out to us directly should they have concerns about their financial future. We are here to help.”
Prospera is asking individuals and business members to contact it to discuss what options are available to support them, and each request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Prospera is asking its members to either send an email ([email protected]), make a phone call at 1-888-440-4480 or visit prospera.ca.
The credit union’s Harvey Street location, as well as the ones in Vernon and Penticton, remain open for business.
