Karen Beaubier is taking her business talents from West Kelowna to Rutland.

It was announced recently that the Greater Westside Board of Trade was looking for a new executive director after Beaubier announced her resignation.

It turns out Beaubier wasn’t going far, as she is about to start in her new role as the executive director of the Uptown Rutland Business Association. She will start in her new role on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

URBA oversees more than 250 property owners, tenants and businesses.

“Karen’s experience includes professionalism, management and operational skills as well as a commitment to assist businesses to grow and prosper during Rutland’s continued expansion,” URBA president Dawn Thiessen said in a press release. “Karen’s fresh prospective will be a great asset when it comes to making an impact on future growth.”
