Technology will be the star of the show when Okanagan College hosts the 13th annual Business Expo & Employment Fair next month.

The college, in collaboration with Accelerate Okanagan, will have an entire section devoted to the tech industry when the event is held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, on the Kelowna campus.

“We’re calling it Tech Alley,” event co-ordinator Jamie Morrow said in a press release. “And the goal is to really shine a light on the booming tech sector we are so fortunate to have in the Okanagan. Given the college’s focus on technologies, the fact that we’re training students for these careers, from business to computer science to engineering technologies, it’s obviously a natural fit for what we do.

“We hope it will benefit our students and alumni who are looking to chat with these and other employers.”

There will be more than 75 employers from a wide range of industries at the job fair, which will go from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Centre for Learning Atrium. There will be exhibitors from municipalities, wine, law enforcement, hospitality, finance, construction, technologies, retail and more.
