The parent company of Kelowna’s Formashape Composites was a big winner at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo this week in Orlando.
WhiteWater is Formashape’s parent company, and it won three Brass Ring Awards this week for the water rides it has produced around the world. All three honours came in the best new water park ride/attraction category.
Many parts for WhiteWater’s rides are produced at Formashape, which is located on Haldane Road in Kelowna.
The rides that captured awards for the company were Tailspin, which is located in North Charleston, S.C., Over/Under, which is in Guangzhou Sunac Water Park in China, and Spinning Rapids Ride, which is also in China at Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park.
