Valhalla Private Capital is hosting a pair of events later this month for startup founders who are looking to get ahead.
The first event is a lunch workshop entitled “Expanding Your Options for Capital.” It will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, at coLab in downtown Kelowna from noon to 1:30 p.m. It will teach startup founders and executives about making their companies eligible to take in funds that are from their investors’ TFSA and RRSP accounts.
The second event is the Valhalla Founder BaseCamp, which is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Nov. 24. It will also take place at coLab. BaseCamp will feature experienced investors/founders from the Valhalla Private Capital team walking inexperienced founders through the ins and outs of raising capital, and providing insight from an investor’s perspective about how to effectively pitch business opportunities.
Companies that participate in the BaseCamp event will then be invited to attend Pitch Night on Monday, Nov. 25, at Mid-Town Station Kitchen + Drink. They will pitch their companies using the information they learned on the weekend, and the investors will provide feedback.
