A Kelowna company that started with three founders less than four years ago will celebrate a significant milestone next week.

Vitalis Extraction Technology, which builds equipment for CO2 extraction businesses across five continents, will mark the hiring of its 100th employee during a celebration on Tuesday.

“Vitalis has experienced over 150% growth in the past 12 months with very little attrition,” Vitalis marketing director Shana Korotash said in a press release. “We attribute this to key decisions made with each hire. Skills and experience are important, but a fit with the culture is a critical consideration every time, both for the team we have today as well as the team we are building.”

Vitalis will be bringing together their employees from all three of their facilities for an afternoon of food, drinks and music to mark the occasion.

“Vitalis has always felt like a family business because we, as a team, feel like a family in general,” co-founder and COO Pete Patterson said. “When our customers come on board, we roll them into that same feeling and in turn they treat us the same way.”
